 "The abstracts included in this book of abstracts were delivered as presentations at the international scientific conference “Health Care of Today and Tomorrow: Research Aspects”, which was held at Rīga First Medical College of the University of Latvia (henceforth - LU RFMC) on 1 December 2022. The conference was organized to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the college.     Academic staff and students from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Georgia and Jordan participated in the conference and submitted their abstracts for publication. The conference featured a variety of themes from general health care to specialized health care, such as emergency medical care, nursing, paediatric, prenatal and postnatal care.   We are delighted to share various perspectives on health care issues via this collection of abstracts and hope that the diversity of opinion will encourage further research activities and professional collaboration. "
